The Vienna Group of Hotels was founded by
Peter Lowy in 1973 when he purchased the Hotel Vienna in Maida
Vale, London - hence the origins of the name the Vienna Group
of Hotels. Since then, he and the group have gone from strength
to strength. Up until 2000, the group focused solely on acquiring
properties in London including Umi London in Bayswater and
The Burns Hotel in Earls Court.
In May 2000, the group purchased the Kings Hotel in Brighton. The Vienna Group continued their Brighton expansion
in 2002 with the Queens Hotel and then in October 2005 when
they acquired the Belgrave Hotel and the Best Western Brighton
Hotel. With 4 hotels on the Brighton seafront, the Vienna
Group have made their mark in the popular seaside town.
The Vienna Group of Hotels also own and operate subsidiary
companies that focus on working with educational institutions.
Anglo American Educational Services, who assist US university
groups with accommodation and academic support during their
semester programmes in London, and Access Accommodation Solutions,
a company set up to accommodate the growing number of students
from language schools visiting the UK. With both these companies, we are well equipped to provide
the youth market with an affordable and varied choice of accommodation
in London.
